How To Submit A Work

Please read all of this section before submitting:

 

Submissions for the 2023 Barbellion Prize are open until October 31st 2023.

Submitting a work to us is simple, whether you are a publisher or an author.

There are no forms to fill-in or fees required for submitting a work, or for being shortlisted for the prize.

​

To send us a suitable file (preferably a PDF) of a book that is eligible for the 2023 prize (published between Nov 2022 - Oct 2023), you can do so via our email - TheBarbellionPrize@mail.com. Authors or agents can also submit works - not just publishers. Providing us with some basic biographical information, as well as the publication date of any book (including any recent press releases), is appreciated.

Again, for a work to be eligible for the 2023 prize it needs to have been published between November 2022 and October 31st 2023.

Self-published works (ebooks or physical books) are also accepted, but we do not accept unpublished manuscripts.

 

Works published in November or December 2023 (after October 31st) can be considered for the 2024 prize.

The judging panel also have the right call in books that have not been put forward for submission.

 

If you wish to send us a physical copy of a work then contact us and we will provide you with a mailing address (we do not have an official premises or PO box at this time). 

For accessibility reasons it is preferable if you still provide us with a digital copy (such as a PDF) that is easier for us to forward to our judges.

The prize is international and works newly translated into English are also eligible.

We must be clear, given enquires, that The Barbellion Prize is a book prize, and not a writing competition for unpublished writing.
